How To Accessorise At The Beach

I'm all about each to their own but personally body chains, heels and false lashes on the beach just does not rock my boat. But 2017 is all about beach accessories. If you're keen to jump on the hype but feel like boho, gypsy vibes are more your thing, then here's a little bit of inspo from my latest adventure to Mallorca.
1. SUNGLASSES
Sunglasses are the summer accessory that will never go out of style, we've been rocking them for years n years, like blue jeans for the face! This year why not try one of my 3 fave eyewear trends- the cat eye, the reflective shades and retro squares.
SHOP: COCONUT LANE - CODE ESM20 FOR 20% OFF
2. BANDANAS
Nothing screams beach gypsy like a good ol' bandana, so whip those bad boys into a bun, ponytail or simple headband and run round like the boho babe you are

3. COVER-UPS
It's no secret that I love a good cover up, I literally bought more than days but they're just the most fabulous inventions. The world thinks you're fashionable and cool but really you're just hiding beer belly (maybe that's just me). Cute t-shirts n kaftans will always be my faves
 4. GOLD DRIPPIN'
I'm clearly the least gangsta person of life- just look at me. But there's something very gangstaesque about drippin in gold so just let me pretend. In reality we all know I'm a basic white bitch wearing boutique jewels.

How To Deal With The Mean Reds (They're Not What You May Think)

The 'Mean Reds' are a concept from one of my favourite movies- Breakfast At Tiffany's. The main character, Holly describes them as a feeling worse than the blues, which occur because 'it's been raining too long or you're getting fat'. They, instead are a feeling of being
scared and not knowing why. So if you ever feel particularly down or anxious, here are some ways of dealing with it without even leaving your room, coz let's face it, a life changing trip to Bali isn't always possible!

1.Let What Calms You, Consume You
We are a generation of multi-taskers , which is fab when you can keep up with the Kardashians, your homework and the group chat all at once, but it's a lot for our minds to cope with constantly. So if ever you're feeling overwhelmed, try listening to your favourite songs, like really just listening and nothing else. Or hide all the distractions and let an old classic movie take you away. I mean I dare you to not feel a little better after indulging in some Disney.
2. Put The Screens Away- MAKE STUFF!
My Mum used to always joke that if I watched too much t.v when I was little I'd end up with square eyes. Which in this day and age could quite well become an issue! Sometimes all you need to quiet the buzz is to be creative and enjoy a little personal project. FINALLY make that scrap book you've been intending to do or learn a new song if you play an instrument. You'll feel much more worthwhile if you put your mind to something
3. Delete Social Media- (TEMPORARILY DON'T PANIC)
The amount of times I check Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook etc a day is actually a joke. Of course they're fabulous tools to stay in touch, get some fashion inspo or just be nosey but now and then it's healthy to just block out the outside world, at first you'll feel like you've lost a limb but after a day or so you'll begin to feel some relief!
My resting bitch face at its finest
 4. Just Chat
For some people, talking about their feelings really helps them straighten their mind. But if you're stubborn and awkward like me EMOTIONS are topics you hate to discuss. Fear not! Simply having a quick FaceTime sesh with someone who you love will instantly make you feel better, there's no better cure than a giggle- and wine of course.

Your Island Girl Guide To Saint Lucia

I don't know whether it's the crappy weather or daily rush hours but here in London we're pretty tightly wound, that's why any Caribbean island is a breath of fresh air. Everyone is beyond chilled out and it's contagious! Night one everyone I was away with showed up on the dot for dinner, all hot and bothered, by night 4 people were strolling in 30 minutes late, looking cool and collected and no one cared! Once you really embrace the island vibes your trip will be a thousand times better and you'll leave feeling like a new and refreshed human being!
Bucket List Moments:
If you're unsure of what these are by now then have a read of my other travel posts!
Talk To The Locals:
You will never get a true feeling of how the locals live unless you stop and chat to them. I met some of the loveliest people, including my little Island Princess here. They can give you the best tips from where to explore or where to eat and just give you an idea of how others live
Explore:
If you're like me and can't sit down on holiday for more than 4 seconds then go off the beaten track, avoid the tourists and explore to find the hidden hotspots to enjoy all to yourself

Drink From A Coconut:
When I was strolling around I met these two local guys selling handmade jewellery on top of a small cliff (I know what are the odds!) I told them I wanted to find a coconut (avoided telling them it was purely for Insta purposes) The next day I went up again and found them sitting in the same spot with a Coconut waiting for me! Was the cutest thing and made a lush little drink. The island vibes were strong

Watch The Sunset And Rise:
Caribbean sunshine is pretty unique, if you can hoist yourself out of bed to watch it rise and then hang around the see it set you won't be disappointed

Instagramable Moments:
Mermaid Lagoon:
The Caribbean beaches are full of little lagoons and cliffs, if you explore enough you'll find the best spots for a mermaid worthy gram
Sugar Beach:
A favourite hotspots amongst millionaires, Sugar beach has become famous for its white sand and green surroundings. A definite must for some slaying photos

How To Make Roasted Rainbow Salad

It's that time of year where we're all meant to be drowning in salads, but I'm sorry, if we have to sacrifice Dominos and Ice Cream (sometimes) then it's just not ok to be munching on dry lettuce with some cucumber thrown on top. Salads really can be delicious (I know bare with me) you just have to know the best and healthiest way to jazz them up, so here's my Roasted Rainbow salad, it tastes fabulous and contains every colour of the rainbow!

STEP ONE: Chop up some sweet potato and aubergine into bitesize squares, throw these into a ovenproof dish then cover with olive oil, salt and pepper. Place the tray into an oven at heat 200oC for around 20-25 minutes or until the veggies are soft.
STEP TWO: Place some lettuce into a bowl and add some peppers and cherry tomatoes

STEP THREE: Grab a hella spinach and microwave in a bowl along with a sprinkle of water for around 1 minute of until the spinach is soggy (yum?)
STEP FOUR: Add some chopped mozzarella and the soggy spinach (again sounds less appealing than it tastes)
STEP FIVE: Add a heaped spoonful of hummus to the middle of the salad (healthier than heaps of dressing) then empty the roasted vegetables into the bowl and garnish with pita bread
Another shout out to my hand made oven mitts thanks.
And that's it! I know it looks a little... rustic, but trust me once you've given it a go you won't be able to turn back to dreary lettuce and cucumber combos. Hope you enjoy!

How To Dress In Barcelona

Recently me and my oldest friend, Lauren, took our first trip together to BARCELONA! It was a real whirlwind, quick visit so we had a lot of sights (and more importantly cocktails and outfits) to squeeze in. One thing we quickly noticed is that everyone in this city and I mean everyone is just good looking! Tanned, skinny and well dressed people were just peppered everywhere so it's the perfect excuse to dress a little sassier than you may be used to when near the beach. Hope this gives you some inspiration to add some Spanish vibes to your wardrobe even if you don't get a chance to visit the city.
1.STATEMENT EARRINGS:
2017 has seen the return of big, statement earrings, and Barcelona is the perfect place to channel your inner flamenco dancer and rock a pair. So be brave and invest in a pair. P.S: Can you just imagine my excitement when finding these mermaid shell ones? I mean they just include everything I love in life.
SHOP: 1. H&M 2. H&M 3. BARCALONA BOUTIQUE- I AM.
 2. WHITE LACE
White lace is my favourite summer essential no matter where you are because nothing makes you feel like more of a beach Queen or will compliment your tan.

SHOP: HOLLISTER
 3. SALSA VIBES
Just a disclaimer- tan is real but the flash has made me look like I work in a magical chocolate factory alongside Johnny Depp. ANYWAY I was not at all subtle with the whole salsa dancer vibes in Spain, like why should I be? So if this vibe rocks your boat then stick with something loose and flowing so your can whip the dress about like the sassy emoji lady. While you're at it, add some hoops, go full out Queen.

SHOP: PRIMARK
4. RUFFLES GALORE
It's no secret that everywhere is ramming ruffles in our faces this year, from TopShop to Zara we just can't escape. But hey, why run from something so fabulous? Embrace the frills n spills and allow yourself to be cute n girlie, it'll add for a nice surprise when you sit down looking all innocent and ladylike and order a beer... or 2.

5. RUSTIC ROMANTIC
Barcelona is full of cute 'oldie worldie' streets, it's not the sort of place you wanna run round in wearing adidas sliders- Satan's shoe. (Sorry guys) Something cute and rustic will match in perfectly and again, is the sort of outfit you can't always rock at home, so make the most of it and twirl towards tapas
SHOP: JOE BROWN
6. SASSY SWIMSUITS
I never usually rock swimsuits on the beach but my friend was blessed with the best body ever so I had to put the bikinis aside make an acceptation, since actually eating well and exercising wasn't an option.  Nonetheless I wasn't gonna forget my flamenco vibes and go for the most pretentious colour I could get my hands on, but I felt right at home on the Barca beach.
