How To Dress Like A Hippie In The City

There’s a tendency to see an ocean of suits and pencil skirts flying towards you as soon as you hit the city. However this isn’t the be all and end all of your fashion choices. After heavy research, a letter to Government and a public vote, I have discovered that you ARE allowed to dress as boho and “tree hugging” (my best friend’s fave description of me) as you like! So if you’re into the hippie vibe but spend your days in the city here is a bit of inspiration to get you going!
LOOK ONE:
This Kimono could possibly be my fave purchase ever, I'm deeply obsessed with it. Pair with some wide leg jeans (a lotta denim going on here) and heeled boots, and bam you're Stevie Nicks strolling down Oxford street.

LOOK TWO:
I've received more than my fair share of abuse for wearing lace maxi skirts after summer but SO BE IT. The juxtaposition of the white lace and band tee is a fun way to play with this boho trend, so chuck on a chunky jacket now the weather's turned and go for it
LOOK THREE:
I know people normally wear these front knot t-shirts when they have abs but you're gonna have to deal with my distinct lack of such in the following pics. Nonetheless, this outfit is da bombbbbb.

How To Dress Like A Vintage Babe In Venice

Me and my best adventure buddy and long time photographer, Lucy Lu really went ham on the whole 1970's Italian Vogue vibe for our latest trip to Venice. I wanted the outfits to resemble both a woman living in Italy in the 70's and a stupidly rich 40's divorcee, I hope it came across and can give you some fabulous Winter inspiration! We ate a lot of pasta and drunk a lot of wine, as we do with most trips in fairness, so notice the expandable waist in all get-ups.
LOOK ONE:
This jumpsuit is my new favourite thing ever, despite being SO long when I got it that I tripped, went flying and cut both my knees and my pride. However I'll forgive it because it's just EVERYTHING, the colours, the flowers, the silhouette... UGHHH I can't. If you're onboard this 70's train with me then make sure your pair with brown suede boots and orange shades.
SHOP:  JUMPSUIT AND GLASSES- STRADIVARIOUS
BOOTS- FAITH (DEBENHAMS)
LOOK TWO:
Is it even Italy if you don't wear polka dots?? HEY MAMBO! Also I'm aware this fur is pretentious but just let me live ok. Plus, not only is Venice really cold this time of year, it's basically part of their uniform to wear a faux fur, EVERY local floated about in one with their Chanel sunglasses,  found where I belong for retirement.
SHOP: SHOES- DOROTHY PERKINS (COMING OUT IN SPRING)
TROUSERS- MISS SELFRIDGE
TOP (OR NAPKIN)- ZARA
COAT- TOPSHOP
LOOK THREE:
Lucy said that this was a very boujee outfit, I'm not exactly sure what that is or implies so it's probably best not to enquire too hard. However the vibes I was going for were vintage and fabulous. Look closely for my mermaid earrings, ALL OF MY FAVOURITE THINGS.
SHOP: JEANS AND JUMPER- STRADIVARIOUS
COAT- TOPSHOP
EARRINGS- NEW LOOK
 LOOK FOUR:
Remember the divorced, rich, badass, 40's movie star vibe I mentioned, well HERE IT IS. These colours work perfectly with the streets of Venice too and the touch of sparkle gives it the edge it needs, don't forget your almond coloured shoes!

How To Dress In The South Of France

My most ladylike, upper class, fancy, Oxford attending, scone eating, champagne sipping friend, Lottie, is currently living in Montpellier, as part of her time at Oxford uni, I know, she's a Queen. So me and Lucy Lu, who you might remember for completely opposite reasons, mainly including her faux pars (falling off a boat remains my favourite) decided to ship out a visit her for bank holiday. It gave me the perfect opportunity to rock some rustic French style, along with your typical Riviera 'extraness'. So if you're heading to the area  soon or just fancy adding some French style to your wardrobe, hopefully this will give you the inspiration to get started.

LOOK ONE:
These colours match perfectly with the French architecture and work fabulously if you can find a chic little summer dress with ruffles - ALL THE BETTER! Of course the South of France wouldn't be complete without some dramatic shades and retro earrings.
SHOP: DRESS AND SUNGLASSES- STRADIVARIOUS
EARRINGS- TOPSHOP
 LOOK TWO:
MORE stripes, but when you're rocking croissant and Rosé (I can't figure out how to get the accent the right way round, soz) fat then stripes are your friend. I loved this little dress and the bold colours make the perfect contrast to the rustic streets.
SHOP: DRESS- PULL AND BEAR
SUNGLASSES- WAREHOUSE
LOOK THREE:
Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the most extra of them all? MEEEEE. I got a little carried away with the Riviera vibes when it came to this look, especially since the outfit did not match our drunken English behaviour that particular night! Everywhere I go, I end up in a white dress at some point, but this one was so chic and classy and matched my vintage shoes and OTT earrings exactly how I hoped! Definitely a good way the channel some Bridget Bardot vibes!

SHOP: DRESS- RIVER ISLAND
EARRINGS- H&M

How To Wear Straight Jeans Like The Cool Kids

It's that awkward time of year where it's not quite Summer, not quite Winter and the most difficult questions of the day are 'Is it too soon to start drinking some Pumpkin Spice crap to rot my insides?' 'Should I start buying Halloween decor now?' and most importantly 'what the hell do I wear today!?' Of course, like in most situations, jeans come to the rescue. If you've scrolled through Insta or strolled through Topshop you'd know that skinny jeans are out and these loose, vintage, super cool, super trendy 'straight' jeans are in. So here are three ways to style them, where all you need is a summery vest and some vintage accessories. They're the perfect outfits to deal with the weather this season. Enjoy xx
 LOOK ONE:
Carrie Bradshaw shoes and chunky gold hoops are the best way to rock the little black vest with these jeans. You look effortlessly stylish and like a true fashion 'it-girl'
LOOK TWO:
Beige and buttons, another adorable vest paired with quirky shoes and a vintage style bag, there's no look this season which can't be improved with big gold earrings so whack out those bad boys too

 LOOK THREE:
Sometimes if you know your day is going to involve a lot of eating - most of mine nowadays. You don't want to tuck in a top, revealing your sugar sins, so use a loose, flowing (still trendy) front button top such as this you can have it tucked out and used as a mask for any goodie guts - the struggle is real.

How To Dress By The Beach When The Sun Goes Down

There seems to be inspiration everywhere about what bikinis to buy, the best cover-ups of the year and which accessories are beach appropriate. However I noticed a lack of inspo on what to wear by the beach when the sun goes down. You're skin is tanned, you've had your air-conditioned nap and laid on the bed wearing only aftersun eating your LAYS. Now you're ready to get dolled up and beachy for some seaside cocktails and foreign cuisine. Here are a few looks from my trip to Mallorca to give you some ideas!

LOOK ONE: Button down dresses have been the rage of the season, they're rustic and cute, not to mention often loose so you can maximise on garlic bread.
SHOP: TOPSHOP
LOOK TWO: I do love a little hipppie gypsy vibe. When you're by the beach you can get away with accessories which might not be as accepted in the city, I wore one of these headbands to a family party and everyone, adults and children, asked why I was wearing a crown...
SHOP: DRESS- HOLLISTER SUNGLASSES- WEARHOUSE HEADBAND- STRADIVARIOUS
LOOK THREE: It's always nice to incorporate some bright colours when beachside, and if you're into your heels, opt for something espadrillesque and quirky rather than a classic court.
SHOP: AND OTHER STORIES
LOOK FOUR: Would it even be a holiday if I didn't wear a cami dress? They're a blank canvas meaning you can go bold on accessories (and dinner) Plus white and a tan? FORGET ABOUT ITTTTTT!
