I recently woke up and realised my bedroom did not feel like me at all. This is a space where I spend all of my time, it should reflect that? So I refurbed and made sure to include plenty of 70's boho vibes- duh. Here's the finished result! Hope it gives you some inspo!
How To Make Classic Mexican Margaritas
So we haven't had much luck for weather this Summer in London- I've complained consistently as you can imagine. Nevertheless, there's nothing stopping us drinking like it's a heat wave. One of my favourite bevys for the sunshine is a bitter, crisp, cold Margartia. They're really easy and quick to make, like most of my recipes so I hope you enjoy!
STEP ONE:
Salt the edge of the glasses, do this by wetting the rim with lime juice then dipping in a plate of salt.
STEP TWO:
Mix together, 5 shots of lime juice, 2 shots of Cointreau and 1 shot of Tequila, shake this up goooood
STEP THREE:
Pour into a margarita glass and garnish with a fresh lime wedge. Enjoy!
How To Play Basic Chords On The Guitar
If you find yourself around the campfire this Summer and fancy showing off, then simply remember these 4 basic chords and you can definitely whip out a few well known tunes. It's said in Country music, especially, that all you need is 4 chords and the truth, you'll be surprised how many songs are made up of these! So get practising!
Just to be clear, these are the finger numbers I've used on my guide!
When it comes to strumming patterns, an easy way to get to grips is to listen to the song you're trying to master and do your best to block out all vocals. Count out loud the patterns you hear, then re-create these with your strumming, start slow and build up until you feel comfortable to add some words! Another little tip is don't stop strumming! Even if your fingers haven't quite reached the chord, it will even out much quicker than stopping completely until you're ready (maybe sing a little louder on these bits if you're struggling!)
How To Create Your Easter Table
It's almost Easterrrr! Only 7 more sleeps until the Easter bunny makes his much needed appearance. As with every seasonal event, my family go all out, so if you've got company this year, here's some cute table decoration ideas to impress both kids and adults (it's not everyday you can cover your furniture with chocolate and small woodland creatures.)

How To Make Boozy, Orangey, Christmassy Hot Chocolates
It'ssss Christmasssssss! Which means we're allowed unlimited naughty foods and alcohol 24/7. If you're having a night in and want something cosy (but equally as boozy) then these orange flavoured hot chocolates (laced with jolly juice) will be just the trick!
STEP ONE: No one has any spare time in December so just stick to your basic hot chocolate powder mix (unless you're Martha Stuart and want to make it properly from scratch)

STEP TWO: Cut up one orange and squeeze the juice of one half into each mug
STEP THREE: Grab some Cointreau and glug in as much as you think you need, it's normally equal to the amount of shopping you still have left to do
STEP FOUR: Squirt the cheap n easy canned whipped cream on top and garnish with chocolate shavings, orange zest and an orange wedge. Now grab your Christmas jammies, put on a film and get shhhhnuggly! Merry Christmas everyone!

3 Easy Ideas For Halloween Cupcakes
I love Halloween, I mean what's not to love about fake blood and toffee apples, slaggy cat costumes and cocktails with fake spiders floating in it?? So if you're hosting a party, want to give trick or treaters something different or just want some goodies for pregaming, then here are 3 easy effective cupcake designs to try. You just need to melt down chocolate and pipe the grave stones, hands and knives onto grease proof paper and freeze until solid. To pipe grass, simply dye frosting green and use a multi hole nozzle to pipe. To make edible fake blood, mix together golden syrup and red food colouring. The pumpkins are just moulded from fondant (like edible play-dough). Enjoy! Send me any piccies on @ellie_showed_me if you give them a go!
How To Make Cosy Autumn Cupcakes
I'm the biggest summer baby and when the season starts to turn cold and the leaves fall to the ground there's always two places I know I can turn to for comfort... food and booze (like most things in life). So with this thought in mind I've made these cosy cupcakes, packed with Cointreau, Cinnamon, Currents and comforting calories, which will hopefully make the season transition a little easier because even I can admit sitting indoors with something warm and something sweet when it's cold out is pretty lavelllyyy.
STEP ONE: Preheat the oven to 170oC. Cream together 2oz of sugar, 2oz of caster sugar and then mix in one medium egg.
STEP TWO: Add roughly two tablespoons of golden syrup (I've got the maple flavour) 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, two handfuls of dried fruits and of course a decent glug n a bit of Cointreau
STEP THREE: Add 2oz of self raising flour and a quarter teaspoon of baking powder, mix together and separate into 6 cupcake cases. Cook for 10-12 minutes. Allow to cool then decorate with vanilla frosting and if you're feeling fancy make some leaves out of fondant to decorate. Now make yourself a hot chocolate, get into your jammies, put on Breakfast At Tiffany's and enjoy!
How To Make Black Forest Triffles
Ok, I'll paint you a picture here. You're getting ready to have dinner and drinks at a friend's house , while you're letting your straighteners heat up you finally dare to glance at the evening's group chat, containing 2,061 messages. Somewhere in the midst of the madness you discover it's been decided that YOU are on dessert duty. Can you rock up to Julia's house , after she's made an 8 course meal from scratch using ingredients she picked up on her latest trip to Morocco, with an M&S PACKET PIE? No, you'll only feel the shame punch you in the nose as Julia claims 'oh you shouldn't have gone to any trouble'... sarccy bitch. FEAR NOT, I have here, a simple, fast and cheap solution. These tasty little Triffles take no time or skill and look fabulous... take that Julia. Hope you enjoy!
STEP ONE: Cut up some black cherries into small pieces and put into blackcurrant jelly (the packet kind of course) before it's set in their individual glasses. This should normally take around an hour or so. You can use this time to finally choose an outfit
STEP TWO: Whip up some chocolate Angel delight, literally pour the mix into a bowl and mix with milk, should take 5 minutes to set. Spoon this on top of the jelly evenly
STEP THREE: CREEEEEEEEEEAMMMM. I know it's cheating but next to a Champagne pop is there any better sound than the 'ptshhhhhhhh' of canned whipped cream?! Plus you don't need the mess or hassle of whipping your own. Pile on as much of the good stuff as the glass can hold... then add some more
STEP FOUR: Pretty please with a cherry on top! The perfect, picturesque finish to your little dessert which will give it the true professional edge. Now you can stroll to Julia's house, head held high with enough time to spare to grab a sunset selfie.
