How To Make Autumn Spice Cookies

As soon as September hits every coffee shop is plastered with Pumpkin spice this and Cinnamon that, so if you fancy bringing some of these Starbucks vibes to your house then you're gonna love these Autumn spice cookies. They're warm and cosy and everything you want when the leaves start turning brown and we're ready to hibernate and get fat again!
STEP ONE:
Cream together 250g of butter, 165g of caster sugar and 165g of brown sugar
STEP TWO:
Beat in one whole egg and once combined add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 1-3 teaspoons of cinnamon (depending on how you like the flavour) 1 teaspoon of mix spice and a pinch of ground ginger, along with a splash of golden syrup - LUSSHHHH
STEP THREE:
Once combined sift in gradually 335g of plain flour and 1 teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda, at this point you can choose to mix in some dried fruit or nuts. Mix until you're left with a giant dough ball and leave in the fridge for 1 hour. Once ready roll level balls of dough onto a baking tray and leave about 4cm apart from each (about a heaped teaspoon should be big enough) and bake for 12-16 minutes in an oven set to 180oC and there you have it! Perfectly gooey yet crispy biscuits to get you feeling all cozy and ready for Autumn!

Your Whirlwind Guide To Barcelona

Barcelona seems to be on everybody's hit list this year, feels like every time you log onto Instagram, another Queen is taking Spanish selfies, and after being able to visit in June I can understand why! It's so strange to have a city filled with old fashioned market streets in one corner and a beach the other! If, like me and my oldest friend Lauren, you only have a very short time to explore, then here's my 'must see' whirlwind guide to squeezing in as much Tapas and tourist spots as possible!

MUST SEE SPOTS:
1. Park Guell
This is one of the most popular destinations in Barcelona, it gives you a view of the entire city from a beautiful mosaic'ed' paradise. PLUS, every corner is filled with Insta opportunities so snap away to your hearts content. Quick tip, make sure to bring plenty of water, there's not a lot of shade and climbing higher towards the sun can leave you pretty destroyed.

2. The Gothic Quarter
The Gothic Quarter is a pretty large area within the city, it's filled with winding cobbled streets and tiny boutiques. The more you wander about and explore the more exciting things you'll come across. From unique places to eat and famous Cathedrals, will not lie I have no clue which one it was we got pictures with here, but everyone seemed very excited about it!
3. St Josep's La Boqueria
You'll find this slice of heaven within the Gothic Quarter (or at least the outskirts). Me and Lauren had been wandering round for ages in the sweltering heat, so to stumble into a covered outdoor market place was literally magical. Everywhere we looked there was rows and rows of fresh fruit, smoothies, ice cream and everything else you could want. A MUST if you're passing by.

4. Barcelona Beach
Like I said, it's pretty special to find yourself in the city centre and then 2 minutes later swimming in the sea. The beach itself gets a little overcrowded during the day so if you've only got a short opportunity to visit, I'd suggest an evening slot, where it's much cooler and you can watch the sun set in one of the many beach side restaurants/ bars.
5. La Ramblas
A famous area within the city, for fabulous bars and great food. If you're in the mood for an authentic Spanish night out, filled with Sangrias and Tapas then this is the place to go. Despite me ordering the wrong drink and subsequently pouring it into a bush to avoid the awkward 'it was lovely thank-you *hands back drink*' convo with the waiter.

Thank-you to my lil blondie for taking endless photos of me!

How To Do Your Make-up Like A Victoria Secret Angel

Victoria Secret is known for it's signature pink colour scheme, and while we (well I) might not have the supermodel body or face, there's no reason we can't channel their pretty in pink vibes for our next glam sesh. Hope this gives you some fun girlie inspiration. (p.s like I've said before, my tan is real but my new lights have left me a little orange at times!)
STEP ONE:
Begin with the eyes, if you want a high quality pink look, like the angels, then I'd recommend the Naked 3 palate. Throw as many sparkles onto your lids as God will permit and you should be good to go. Don't forget the signature cat eye liner, and if you're less useless than me, fluffy false lashes will go perfectly. (Unfortunately I seem to just glue my eyes together- not cute)
STEP TWO:
VS angels are known for perfect glowing skin (bitches) so to copy this, add some Girl Meets Pearl illuminator from Benefit to your base makeup (whether that's foundation or just moisturiser). It has a perfect purple shine to it, fitting in perfectly with the vibe we're aiming for here.
STEP THREE:
Of course these glamorous models never look like they've lost a night's sleep to Netflix binging, this could be because they have some control over their lives, or perhaps they just rock a banging concealer. Try using YSL Touche Eclat (pink shades again) and blend it down to your cheek bones, creating a light shade where the dark circles are lurking.
STEP FOUR:
This next little product is my secret weapon whenever I'm in a major rush. Fine One One (like 911- took me a while) is a solid creme product from Benefit and kinda looks like a fabulous neapolitan ice cream, with 3 layers of colour conjoined together. The top being light pink for highlight, the middle acts as blush and the bottom creates a peachy contour, just swipe up your cheek, blend and go! Perfectly rosie.

STEP FIVE:
Highlight ERYTHANG! Dust plenty of a pearly shade powder highlighter across cheekbones and cupids bow for a fell from the heavens glow. I'm using Mary-loumanizer by the Balm.
STEP SIX:
Finally the lips, don't hold back from over lining here, the angels are nothing without their pouts and fill in with something pretty, pink n extra shiny. My recommendation- Mac Whirl lip liner with Benefit Dandelion gloss, lushhhh.
AND VOILA- all we need now is wings... and a six pack
