How To Dress Like An Italian Girl

A couple of weeks ago , I made my first voyage to Italy and not just any old area- ROME. Of course in true form I was completely extra in every aspect of the trip, that meant eating Gelato at 10am, saying Ciao to everyone and anyone who would listen (sorry Lauren!) And most importantly dressing like fabulous, retro, Dolce Vita, Audrey Hepburnesque over the top lady. So if you fancy some Italian inspo in your Summer wardrobe, have a little scroll. P.S note how every outfit is loose enough to factor in gallons of Carbonara and wine.

LOOK ONE: This was our first night in Rome, our flight had been delayed, our cab driver nearly murdered us (Italians literally drive like it's Mario cart) and we'd gotten lost finding our hotel. HOWEVER that did not stop us from having a fabulous Clark Kent costume change and hitting the town. Black and white spots are the perfect Italian combo , pair it with some cat-eye shades, gold hoops and retro heels. However be warned 90% of Rome is cobbles , so bring back up flip flops, true Essex girl in me pouring out.

SHOP: DRESS- ZARA
LOOK TWO: Rome is really hot this time of year so don't even think about whipping out the jeans or anything tight and uncomfortable- I repeat you're gonna need to factor in food baby space. I packed more polka dots than 101 Dalmatians but it just fit the vibe I was aiming for! This rust colour is the perfect blend since it mimics the Roman street colours. Again make sure you're dripping in gold accessories, MARVELLOUS!

 SHOP: DRESS RIVER ISLAND
LOOK THREE: Final night- meaning food bump is at full capacity. My Mum bought this dress in Portugal years ago but I've officially stolen it... soz Mum. In terms of the shoes, they never made it to store , but that's the perks of working in fashion and being a sample size! WOOP WOO, so they're specially for me I'm afraid! BASICALLY this whole outfit isn't one you can buy, but I hope it still gives you some inspiration since white lace is fabulously Dolce.
