Your Girlie Guide To Paris

Before me and one of my best friends, Lucy Lu headed off to Paris in November I did a lot of online research and found plenty about where to see the rich culture of France, but what I really wanted to know was, where the hell am I gonna get some banging Insta's? Where can I buy souvineers... well, makeup and how do I get my hands on the best grub? So here is my guide to taking Paris by 'le balls' and getting  all your girly needs out of one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
Tourist Spots Worth The Hype:
Notre dame:
Unfortunately we never actually made it inside this Cathedral, simply because we got side tracked by the various food carts surrounding it. However this is a perfect photo opportunity and is definitely worth the visit.
Louvre:
When me and Lucy Lu hopped out of the cab to see the Louvre, we were planning to get a few pics, look around for the sake of it and swiftly move on. However once we got in and began to explore the art and history we ended up having the best time. Granted this was due to inappropriate posing with ancient Greek statues nonetheless I'm glad we went and despite our immaturity we really did appreciate it all! Plus if you're looking for somewhere super prestige to grab some French grub hit up the terrace cafe inside the museum, a little pricey but definitely gives you a VIP vibe.
Champs Elysees:
This destination is literally just a famous road, which looks fab and all but what's the hype all about? WELL not only does it lead to the Arc Du Triomphe (a must) BUT parallel you'll find the most fabulous shopping destination, with everything from a Zara to a big ass Sephora, praise the heavens.
Eiffel Tower:
I mean ... duh.
Instagramable Spots:
It might as well be law that if you haven't posted a picture with the Eiffel Tower while in Paris then you just haven't been. However this is obviously the most popular Parisian tourist spot meaning finding the perfect Insta spot can be tricky. Fear not my fellow 'Gram'ers. There's a perfect spot in front of the tower (opposite side to the grass) If you walk around 200m straight you'll find a set of stairs leading to a platform, both the stairs and the platform give you the perfect view and is high enough to crop all tourists out and leave you with the perfect shot!
The Alexander Bridge is slightly less popular meaning the surrounding tourists are less of a problem! This spot gives you a distant view of the Eiffel Tower, a backdrop of water and the most beautiful lamp posts to pose by. If you time this right you may be lucky enough to catch the sunset which was the most magical moment of my trip. FYI you may get some funny (or perhaps concerned) looks dangling your legs off the side of a bridge but it'll be worth it in the end!
Bucket List Moments:
Sometimes when you're on a city break like Paris, especially a short one, it can become quite hectic and you're so focused on seeing and doing as much as possible, you forget to just breathe, take a minute to appreciate where you are. Sometimes you need to just do something which you won't find on Trip Advisor but is simply a moment you'll remember forever.

Sunset watching:
It had been a super busy couple of days so when me and Lucy got to the Alexander Bridge and saw the sun beginning to set, we bought some crepes from a street cart (literally AMAZING btw) sat on the edge of a wall with our feet dangling over the water and just enjoyed the views.
See the Eiffel Tower at night:
Just before we were heading to dinner, I insisted we detoured to see the Eiffel Tower glowing at the night. (Which Luce loved considering we were in heels!- "El remember you said you WEREN'T gonna run off?" Of course it looks impressive during the day but there was definitely something special about seeing it in the dark. Plus it's the perfect excuse to get some snaps while you're all glammed up!
Food:
On the go:
Paris is filled with food carts meaning you're literally rewarded for exercise with sugar (um finally!) If you find yourself strolling past some fresh crepes being prepared then DO NOT walk past, like seriously you'll live to regret it because these babies are to die for. Failing this grab some ice-cream or even waffles, the world is literally your menu.
Dinner:
Le Malakoff is a fab little restaurant a 2 minute walk from the Eiffel Tower which is perfect if you fancy grabbing some late night pics. The food (and drink) was super affordable but delicious, we pigged out on a 3 course meal, with classic french bread, a starter, steak, chips, ice cream and wine (not all at once thankfully) for less than 30 euros each.

Chartier is a definite must if you're looking for something different. This restaurant is very popular with the locals meaning you'll get a feel for the authentic French vibes. It was the coolest place! Hidden away in an alley way, the inside almost looks like an old fashioned train station, with tables all connecting and overhead rails for your bags. The waiters write your order down on the table covers and fly over with your grub in, I kid you not, 5 minutes!  Everything felt very high end and tasted amazing despite the low prices and speedy delivery!
