Your Guide To Disneyland Paris On A Budget

Disneyland is obviously the best place like... ever but it's not fair to assume that you have to spend fortunes to have a magical time because let's face it, a mermaid's wage isn't what it used to be. So here is my guide to Disneyland Paris, with all the sparkles and fairy dust but less of the tumble weeds in your purse!

Best Instagram Spots:
Disneyland is a battlefield when it comes to Insta pics, the park is filled with basic bitches all trying to get the perfect shot, so if you know the best places before you get there it's gonna put you ahead of the pack.

Castle Wall:
Everyone wants a photo in front of the Disney castle because erm DUH it's like the most beautiful thing on this earth. However to get a picture without a tonne of like minded tourists and still include the prettiest bits of the castle you're gonna need to hoist your little booties on a wall and show everyone the Queen you are. The path leading up to the castle has some benches, if you climb these you'll find some pillars to sit on giving you the perfect magical picture, Instagram ready.
Cinderella's Fountain:
Someone told me that the Cinderella statue here is unique because adults see the Cindy as sad while children see her as happy, which was an eye opener for me since I thought she looked perfectly pleased! This little fountain is a hidden gem of the park and is a cute spot to get a less overrated pic.
Bucket List Moments:
In case this is the first travel post of mine you're reading, bucket list moments are the little things you do on each trip which you'll remember forever and will always have a special place in your heart even if they don't have a special spot on your Insta feed.

Watch The Firework Display:
It's a known thing with everyone I know that I do not cry, ESPECIALLY not in public. But I'm ashamed to admit that the Disney fireworks broke me, they broke me good. I'm talking blubbering like a baby while my friends whispered in shock "she does have emotions!". So make sure you put your phone away and just enjoy the magic.

Raid The Souvenir Shops:
The little Disney streets literally combine my favourite things in life, Disney and shopping. It's like a childhood dream come true and it's for sure something you need to do when you find yourself in Disneyland since everywhere you look you'll find glitter and fabulous edible goods.

 Wear The Damn Ears:
You're in Disneyland, swallow your pride and do it! (I took NO convincing)

What To Tighten Your Budget On:
Ok so when you're in Disney there's certain things you just cannot afford to scrimp on. For example, are you gonna be the only one taking pics by the castle WITHOUT Minnie Mouse ears?! NO! However there are a few things which you can save the pennies on and won't affect the magical moments of your trip.
Fish around for train tickets:
You may be up at 5am or have to change trains a few times but if you fish around for long enough there will always be a cheaper alternative to the first offer you find and who cares how you get there when the final destination is fricking DISNEYLAND!?
Stay nearby not on location:

Literally the best part of my life... ahem sorry, Disney trip, was watching the firework display, which if you do stay to watch, you won't be leaving the park until near enough midnight. After a long day of running around soaking in the sparkles you'll be exhausted so frankly it's a waste of money to spend hundreds of pounds to stay in the park itself. However there are a range of independent hotels less than a 15 minute drive away which are clean and modern and most importantly around £20 each for the night! Just pack yourself some Disney pyjamas and you'll be so high from the magic of the day it will not matter where you stay.
