How To Get The Quickest, Easiest Bouncy Blow Dry EVER

STEP ONE: Start with clean, wet hair and work some of AUSSIE's Curl Definition Soft Feel Serum through it using your hands. This stuff is fab because if your locks have any natural bounce to it, then this will define them without the appearance of frizz

STEP TWO: Spritz some AUSSIE 'Take The Heat' heat protection spray all over. It's handy to have this stuff nearby whenever you plan on using hot tools or hair dryers to ensure it's completely protected, avoiding dull dried out hair or split ends. Wish I'd known about the beauty of this product before my disastrous years of being 14-15 where my hair was religiously and aggressively straightened everyday (probably to distract from my brows!)

STEP THREE: Loosely dry your hair using a hair dryer, once them locks are damp take yet another fabulous AUSSIE product (notice a pattern here) 'Aussome Volume and Conditioning Mousse' and avoid the urge to squeeze mountains of foam into your hands. A small dollop is enough to work from your roots to the ends. This product smells literally better than new shoes or Starbucks. Your hair remains soft and touchable but ensures it has enough hold in it to be styled
p.s Excuse my baby face thing I've got going on here, it was at this point I realised I'd forgotten to put makeup on, but no worries I do whip out some highlight in a sec!

STEP FOUR: BOOM- that's better- moment to appreciate that strobe please n thanks. Anyway, once you've worked the mousse through your hair, pin half of it up out of the way leaving the bottom layer free to style

STEP FIVE: NOW the fun part! If you've not heard of these tools then, seriously just go out and buy one now... for real Queen. They're generally known as Rotating hot brushes, you can get them in Boots, Amazon, Debenhams (my Sales Advisor role coming in handy there). They're basically round bristle brushes, which... wait for it... SPIN and not only do they spin but they blow out hot air AT THE SAME TIME... what a time to be alive! You basically get a smallish section of hair, wrap it loosely around the brush (just at the end) then press the rotate button, you move the brush up and down the hair as it simultaneously (thank you spell check) blow dries. Continue doing this on the same section of hair for around 5-10 seconds. When you unravel the hair from the brush, do in a twisting motion if you want a curling effect.

STEP SIX: Release the next layer of hair and pin up the very top layer in this beautiful, bird nest manner which I'm sporting (so Vogue)

STEP SEVEN: Continue doing the same technique with the brush over every section of hair, release the last bit of your birds nest and do the same thing except when you get the the very top, near your parting pull the brush upwards, literally hold it above your head (I'm painting such a vivid picture here)
STEP EIGHT: Spritz some hair spray LIGHTLY (nothing worse than crunchy hair) all over and VOILA that's it! So, so quick and easy and looks effortless. Now you can safely save like a whole 12 minutes in bed in the morning and we all know how precious every second is in those moments! Hope this was helpful, until next time lovelies xx

4 Ways To Wear A Choker

It's no secret, everyone's playing Pokemon, wearing brown lipstick and silk nightdresses out on the streets, the 90's are back! A HUGE part of this trend this summer is chokers. Anyone who's anyone is wearing them, Rihanna, the Kardashians, the Hadids, you name them and they've probably worn one in the last 2 months. So if you're keen to jump on that bandwagon, here's 4 variations of this popular accessory to give you a little inspiration.

LOOK ONE: SALOON GIRL BOW
I fricking love these chokers! They're so cute and girlie but in an edgy kinda way, just like the Western
Saloon girls in their corsets and feathers drinking tequila (original Queens). I love pairing mine with
anything from a plain white t-shirt to something frilly (which really plays on the Western vibes).

SHOP: RIVER ISLAND

LOOK TWO: METALLIC MOMENT
Some people really don't like the idea of having something tight around their neck (understandable when you put it like that). If you're one of these people then why not try these metallic necklaces? They give off the choker vibe without actually, well... choking you. Plus they remind me of Cleopatra and how much more regal can you get? They're a fun little accessory to pair with an LBD to really make it pop.

LOOK THREE: VELVET VIBES
If you are new to this trend then my advice is that velvet is the place to start. Simple, elegant and classy (generally not words used to describe chokers but times are changing). It's almost impossible to find an outfit where these don't work now a days, we've seen them with boyfriend shirts, tight dresses and cute tops, (generally not all at once). So if you only ever buy one choker this would be the one.

SHOP: ASOS

LOOK FOUR: DIAMONDS ARE A GIRL'S BEST FRIEND
How Queenlike?! I can't even deal with the regal vibes these things give off! You could literally throw them on with anything and suddenly go from Peasant to Princess (just like Kate Middleton- we can dream) Sadly in life, it's not quite acceptable to wear a crown on a day to day basis so these diamond chokers are a good compromise and can be worn day or night. (Save your tiaras for another time)

Simple Back To School Makeup

Thank the heavens above, I've done my time now in school. I've bid farewell to sleepless nights, drowning in cue cards and uniform checks where random teachers who we all complain about walk up and down checking your skirt is a suitable length (Catholic school problems). However there is something I'll miss about the back to school buzz, catching up with mates who are just as mortified by the sudden 7am wake up call as you and clean notebooks which we all swear this year we will keep neat and filled with helpful summaries rather than naughty doodles and noughts and crosses. One thing all girls can appreciate when coming back to school is adjusting to the make up routines, (well in fairness by year 13 I'd barely brush my hair for class). However at the start of every year we all want to look cute and pretty while bearing in mind you won't want to be up at the crack of dawn contouring. SO here is my simple guide to a clean, fresh 'I'm not wearing makeup' makeup look perfect for this new term. Hope you enjoy xx

STEP ONE: The whole bother of foundation is just long! What's most annoying is that when you have a tan fresh from the summer holidays, your usual stuff can make your skin look a little pale and dull. So my favourite solution, is to mix liquid bronzer and your fave illuminator on a palate and blend into your skin with a damp beauty blender. It looks so much healthier and glowy you'll hate going back to usual foundation!
SHOP: LIQUID BRONZER – DEW THE HOOLA- BENEFIT
ILLUMINATOR- STROBING CREAM- MAC

STEP TWO: We all know that going back to school means destroying the perfect sleeping pattern you've created during summer of staying up late watching Netflix then waking up at 11 the next day. The sudden shock of early mornings can mean that eye bags come out in full force, so to disguise these bad boys, dab on some cream concealer over the damage using your finger or a concealer brush.
SHOP: CONCEALER- BOIING – BENEFIT
STEP THREE: Eyebrows seem to be taking over Instagram to a point where we care more about them being on fleek than anything else. Like 'aww they got engaged, cute.... dafuque is with her brows'. My ones are a nightmare and nothing to go by but I'd recommend using powder and holding gel to make yours look way better than mine!
SHOP: EYEBROW POWDER- BROW ZINGS- BENEFIT
SETTING GEL – READY SET BROW- BENEFIT

STEP FOUR: Since you're already covered in liquid bronzer you really don't need a lot of the powdered stuff. Swipe a bit of your favourite powdered bronzer onto a small brush and lightly define your cheekbones, THEN DROP THE BRUSH. Leave it there you really DO NOT need anymore Queen, especially for school. (Learnt that one that hard way!)
SHOP: BRONZER- HOOLA- BENEFIT
STEP FIVE: My favourite part! Nothing will complement your healthy, post holiday glow like a bit of highlight. I had to try my hardest to restrain myself and just brush a little powdered shimmer on my cheekbones, for a subtle glow and not a night club gleam
SHOP: HIGHLIGHTER- SOFT AND GENTLE- MAC
STEP SIX: Lipstick just isn't practical for school, so instead, quench them dry puppies with tinted balm, it doesn't smudge like normal lippy and is way more subtle and healthy for your puckers, perfect for school!
SHOP: TINTED LIP BALM- POSITINT- BENEFIT
STEP SEVEN: Finish the whole thing off with a bit of mascara. Everyone of course has their own preferences, however for a natural look like this one I recommend using a product with thick dense bristles rather than spread apart since the results will be much more subtle.
SHOP: MASCARA- FALSE LASHES (looks natural, honest!) MAC

9 Ways To Dress Like An Island Girl

An Island Girl, for those of you who don't know is that super cool hippy chick who lives life on the beach, constantly having the best beach waves and golden tan. Sure I may not look like this but I love the idea of being care free and effortless, being able to say you woke up like this, jumped into the ocean and boom this was the outcome. So if you fancy yourself being a bit of an Island girl on your next trip to the beach then here are 9 of my favourite ways to dress like one

1. White Lace Bikini
It's a known fact that true island girls have a fabulous tan all the time because they're living the perfect sunshine lifestyle. It's another known fact that NOTHING makes a tan look better than white lace and if you're constantly hopping in and out of the ocean then a bikini is the perfect way to incorporate this trend
SHOP- TOP: RIVER ISLAND
            BOTTOMS: H&M
2. Distressed Denim
Island life is a distant world from walking the streets of London in pencil skirts and heels. Tropical girls throw on any old thing and run around looking fabulous. Distressed denim is the perfect way to give off that carefree vibe, if this rocks your boat  (notice my literal boat I found) then little cut down shorts is definitely the way forward
SHOP- TOP: HOLLISTER
             SHORTS: RIVER ISLAND
3. Flower Power
Do deserted islands have a local TopShop or H&M? NO! So now and then, force yourself to use your surroundings to accessorise, I mean, what's more carefree and mermaidesque than real exotic flowers in your hair? Nothing.

4. Aztec vibes
Does anyone actually remember learning about the Aztecs in school? Like who are they? You know what, I don't care, imma just steal their patterns for my island girl tops because they're Hollistery, effortless and gorgeous
SHOP- TOPS: HOLLISTER
          SHORTS: HOLLISTER
5. All in ones
We all know the struggle of a bikini, if you want to jump off a rock into the sea or reach up to catch falling coconuts, then you better make sure you're an octopus because you need all the hands you can get to keep everything in place. However swimming costumes are perfect because you're held perfectly in place. Now you can frolic around to your hearts content

SHOP- SWIMSUIT: TOP SHOP
            GLASSES: H&M
6. Tassels and pom poms
These give me such a hippy vibe and we all know how much that rocks my boat. You can incorporate a good tassel  or pompom everywhere from tops to flip flops and suddenly you're transformed from city peasant to island Queen.

         SHOP- TOP: TOP SHOP
                      SHORTS: HOLLISTER
7. Beach jewels
I'm not talking your regular basic bitch Michael Kors watch and Pandora charm bracelets (guilty on both accounts), island jewellery means the most rustic and bohemian shizz you can get your hands on. Shell necklaces, anklets, string bracelets, the world is your jewellery box

8. Gypsy top
Get those bronzed shoulders out and flash some cheeky midriff, gypsy tops are the perfect way to channel your inner (or outta) boho self. They're so easy to just throw on with, maxi skirts, ripped shorts or even bikini bottoms

SHOP- TOP: HOLLISTER (NOTICING A PATTERN?)
             SHORTS: RIVER ISLAND
9. Tropical swim
Well this one's almost obvious. I mean tropical leaves, cmon, is anything in life more islandy?? Swim gear is one of the easiest ways to incorporate this sort of print because it's small (especially for me!) and simple so give it a go!

SHOP- BIKINI: H&M
            SHORTS: HOLLISTER
